Attending: see attendance list attachedCary Conrad called the meeting to order at 11:10am and all present joined in prayer lead by Mark Kavanaugh. Jim Morgan reviewed the agenda and ensured those present signed the attendance sheet.
Dr. Carolyn Whittier, Assistant Dean of Students at Valparaiso University was introduced. She welcomed Theta Chi alumni to campus and stated that the legacy of Theta Chi is well known about the campus. She announced that the IFC voted last fall to invite Theta Chi to return to campus in the fall semester of 2021. This first membership recruitment event is to be run by staff from the TC headquarters and will include only upperclassmen (soph, jr, sr). Freshmen rush will take place as usual at the beginning of the second semester in January 2022.
Cary thanked Dr. Whittier for attending the meeting and for her support and cooperation over the last several years. She then departed to attend other homecoming activities requiring her attention.
Bobby Russell and Kurt Schultz reported on a situation with the property and casualty insurance coverage on the house at 804 Union Street. Subsequent to an inspection for the insurance company, a notice was received stating we have 30 days to rectify four issues at this property or lose coverage:
Kurt met with the insurance agent who was very helpful and forthcoming with suggestions. Bobby and Kurt volunteered to take charge of remediation activities. Several members offered suggestions and financial assistance to help cover the cost of remediation. Saturday, May 2, 2020, was tentatively selected for a “Clean your Room” day when alumni are invited to return to help with house repairs and clean out.
Ballots were provided to all members for the election of directors of Delta Xi Chapter’s housing corporation. Nominations from the floor were accepted, and the votes were cast and tallied. The directors for the next year were announced as follows:

The annual financial report of the corporation was provided to all present. An appeal was made for donations toward operational expenses. A motion was made to approve the report subject to audit. Motion approved.
The minutes of the annual meeting of members held on September 29, 2018, was provided to all present. A motion was made to approve the minutes. Motion approved.
The meeting adjourned at 12:15pm.
